An exhibition dedicated to the memory of Ikon Gallery curator Michael Stanley based on Rex Warner's novel The Aerodrome.

This exhibition celebrates the late Michael Stanley, previously a curator at the Ikon Gallery and former Director of the Milton Keynes Gallery and Modern Art Oxford. It is structured loosely on Rex Warner’s 1941 wartime novel The Aerodrome, a book that made a great impression on Stanley.

Celebrating Stanley's incluence and work, it includes many of the artists he worked with and admired, including Polly Apfelbaum, Michael Craig-Martin, Linder Sterling, Heremy Deller and Jenny Saville.
