This exhibition celebrates the musician and artist David Bowie and features iconic photography, painting, vinyl art and sculpture.

Iconic Bowie is a major retrospective of the extraordinary life of the artist and musician David Bowie. Bowie had strong ties to the Isle of Wight, playing his first public performance there in 1958, as well as his last UK live show headlining at the Isle of Wight Festival in 2004.

The exhibition showcases intimate portraits of Bowie from the Iconic Images archive. It includes work from some of the world’s most successful photographers, including Terry O’Neill, Kevin Cummins, Markus Klinko, Justin de Villenuve, Milton H. Greene and Gerald Fearnley, taken throughout his 50-year career. They give an insight into the remarkable contribution Bowie made to culture, music and art, as well as the force of Bowie’s unique nature and his personality on film.
