This exhibition has now closed, find out what else is going on at New Walk Museum & Art Gallery

This exhibition tells the story of the 1960s Mod scene in Leicester and Nottingham and how they were connected.

Concentrating on themes of social, financial and creative freedom, the exhibition features exclusive first-hand eye-witness accounts and unpublished images.

It also celebrates the 40th anniversary of the release of The Who's cult Mod film, Quadrophenia, and includes ephemera and original 1960s clothing as seen in the film.

Legendary hang-outs are re-visited, including The Nite Owl, The Il Rondo and the Dungeon.
