An exhibition uniting the natural science collections from museums across Wales.

St Mary's Church Swansea painted on a feather by Captain Will Nelson c1898

Museums across Wales house some amazing natural treasures, helping us to understand the world and our place within it.

The project, Linking Natural Science Collections in Wales, brought together specimens from 18 museums to create this touring exhibition, exploring the collections and their role in modern research, and inviting audiences to consider our impact on the natural world.

The exhibition shows just a fraction of at least 72,200 specimens in regional museums in Wales. Exhibits range from British bird eggs to an Australian platypus, and a rare auroch's bone to a 19th-century painting on a feather.
