This exhibition has now closed, find out what else is going on at Yorkshire Sculpture Park

Years in the making, this exhibition explores one artist’s shifting and profoundly meditative investigation of humanity’s connections to the organic world.

In a beautiful pairing of preoccupation and place, this exhibition brings together an artist intimately concerned with the relationship between humanity and the natural world, and the UK’s leading open-air gallery.

Unfolding across the landscape and Underground Gallery of Yorkshire Sculpture Park is a selection of works from five decades of world-renowned Italian artist Guiseppe Penone’s career – many of which have not previously been seen in the UK – including a monumental 30-metre-long fir tree, bisected vertically and carved along its growth rings.

The culmination of a dialogue over many years, this exhibition is the most extensive showcase of Penone’s work in the UK to date.
