The personal relationship between two of Britain's most influential artists and writers is celebrated at the home of Sir Walter Scott.

Rarely does an exhibition focus on Turner's personal relationships with his contemporaries, yet his collaborative work with the celebrity author resulted in some of the most beautiful watercolour illustrations ever produced.

Charting their lives and careers side by side, the exhibition explores how and why sparks flew, but also reveals that there was a great deal of common ground between Turner and Scott, perhaps more than either man appreciated.
