This ambitious exhibition from the renowned British punk artist and musician Linder spans art and architecture, fashion and theatre, music and design.
Serving partially as a retrospective, The House of Fame explores Linder's varied and radical career over the past forty years, beginning with her emergence from the punk and post-punk scene of the 1970s. Throughout her career she has worked in various mediums, including photomontage, graphics, costume and performance, and focused primarily on the questions of gender, commodity and display.
Linder has also selected 30 artists to be displayed alongside her. These two hundred works are as diverse as Linder's art itself, stretching from the 1600s until today and including the likes of Inigo Jones, Mike Kelly, Alison and Peter Smithson, Moki Cherry, Ithell Colquhoun and Heidi Bucher.
This exhibition marks an exciting time for the artist, who is also currently serving as the first ever artist-in-residence at Chatsworth House in Derbyshire.
