Discover what life was like during the Ice Ages, and the animals and people who lived in the cold.

This exhibition unveils the secrets of the ice ages, exploring the ice sheets and glaciers which formed as the temperatures dropped and also what happened in times of warmer weather. It meets Stone Age man, examining the tools he used, and the creatures that lived in Essex during the last ice age. Real animal remains are on display, including a woolly mammoth tusk, as well as models of a sabre-tooth tiger, a European wolf, and one of our own ancestors.
