Exploring the talents of the Czech painter and decorative artist.

Alphonse Mucha was one the leading figures of the Art Nouveau movement, best known for producing highly elegant and incredibly beautiful theatrical and advertising posters.

The exhibition examines how ‘le style Mucha’ evolved, paying particular attention to both the skill and the philosophy that lay behind his designs. Key objects from the museum's own collection also feature, illustrating the interchange of artistic ideas between Scotland and continental Europe.
