Mark Fairnington's paintings are shown alongside the taxidermy treasures that inspired them.

Fairnington has spent the past five years exploring the natural history specimens at the Horniman, finding rare and unusual items to use as subjects for his paintings. Many of the objects are usually kept boxed and wrapped in storage and are not on public display.

This display of Fairnington's work is his first exhibition in 10 years and was funded through the Art Fund's crowdfunding platform, Art Happens.
