Drawing on more than 150 archaeological objects, the exhibition addresses popular misconceptions about ancient Egyptian society.

The display delves into the science behind the mummification process, the existence of Egyptian curses and conspiracies that link the building of the pyramids to extraterrestrial life. Examples of ceramics, jewellery, statues, coffins and animal and human mummies are used to separate fact from fiction.

Among the highlights are artistic interpretations of famous Pharaohs and a recreation of a tomb chapel and burial chamber.
