A new body of work by the artist, created from appropriated everyday materials.

Employing a process of recycling, improvisation and low-tech construction, Durant invests objects with new meaning. A rug or tennis ball for example, might be reimagined through fiction, art history, literature or architecture. The resulting sculptures are not intended to be perfect handicraft pieces, but playful organisations of items.
