Around 150 radical set and costume designs produced amid the First World War and the Russian Revolutions.

Tying together the unprecedented boom in Russian theatre culture during the early 20th century and the development of the avant-garde movement, the exhibition includes performance-related designs by many of the most revolutionary and experimental artists of the period.

Among those featured are Kazimir Malevich, Alexander Rodchenko, Vladimir Tatlin, El Lissitsky and Liubov Popova, with many works on display in the UK for the first time.
