Exploring the work of eight artists living in the North East of England who are connected by their systematic, ritualistic approaches to making.
Featured artists all follow their own individual 'rules' or code for making work, which are created somewhere on the scale between order and precision, and chance and chaos.
Anne Vibeke Mou, for example, uses a repetitive mark making routine to gradually create form, while Nick Kennedy's geometric patterns are produced by drawing devices and machines.
Richard Rigg's sculptures and installations are concerned with the manipulation of everyday objects, previous artworks have involved tuning a piano so it only plays the middle C key and making a circular rather than meter rule.
The artist-led project also includes work by Sarah Bray, Rachael Clewlow, Alex Charrington, Peter J. Evans and James Hugonin.
