To coincide with the London 2012 Olympics, the Fan Museum will be hosting a truly unique exhibition exploring the early 18th century trend of depicting sport and popular pastimes on commemorative fans.

An artistic style that continued throughout the 19th century and into the 1930s, these fans act as cultural and social indicators, often portraying sporting events and leisurely activities enjoyed by the upper classes.
