Picasso Prints: The Vollard Suite

British Museum

7 May – 2 September 2012

A celebration of the British Museum's recent acquisition of The Vollard Suite, a complete series of 100 untitled, unnumbered etchings produced by Pablo Picasso during 1930 and 1937.

Previously unseen by the public, The Vollard Suite takes its name from the great avant-garde art dealer and print publisher Ambroise Vollard, who gave Picasso his first exhibition in 1901 and commissioned the series in exchange for pictures.
