Wood sculptor and land artist David Nash has been given the run of Kew Gardens.

In addition to the studio-created works sited in and around the buildings and green spaces of Kew, Nash has been creating a 'Wood Quary' of new sculptures using nearby trees that have come to the end of their lives.

Throughout September Nash can be seen wielding his eloquent chainsaw in the Kew grounds, as he revisits the spontaneity of his on-site working practice of the 80s and early 90s. The Wood Quary works will then join the wider exhibition.
