Barry was born in 1883, by the age of 23 he was exhibiting at the Royal Academy.

In 1939, Barry returned to Britain, focusing on oil painting over etching. After another move, this time to Jersey, he became part of the Phoenix Group, developing a more minimalist style. This retrospective will enable visitors to see forthemselves how Barry's style evolved over a sixty year long career.
