Get ready to Play-Build-Dream with the help of constructive play experts Woodland Tribe who will be transforming the Barber’s outdoor space… with your help!

Inspired by our display Taking Root, which connects with trees and nature, we will be connecting to our outdoor environment, making and shaping using huge quantities of wood and real tools to reimagine the space into an adventure playground. This family led activity will awaken us to the outdoors and get us constructing.

Please note: As we are working with real wood, please wear clothing that you don't mind getting messy. This activity is suitable for the whole family and recommended for those over the age of 5… but you know each other best and we invite you to decide who to bring along.

Sessions will be held in person at the Barber Institute of Fine Arts. Limited spaces, so booking is essential. The slots available on Saturday 9 July are:

  • 10-11.30am
  • 11.30am-1pm
  • 2-3.30pm
  • 3.30-5pm

Build days for children and families are bookable in 90 minute sessions. As children must be accompanied by an adult at all times, pricing is set for both children and adults. 1 ticket per person. Tickets are £10 per child and £5 per supporting adult.

This listing is managed by the museum. Art Fund is not responsible for third party content.
