Natural voice practitioner Siobhan Donnelly returns to the Paradise Mill, to lead a Saturday singing workshop. The warm woody spaces of the mill will be filled with human voices, as Siobhan teaches African lullabies, weavers' songs and all kinds of melodies. Siobhan teaches by ear, so you don't need experience or knowledge. Within minutes she'll have you harmonising with friends and strangers. Previous workshoppers say:
"It left me so joyful after a busy week".
"Properly life-enhancing, and what a space to sing in!"
"It was amazing how quickly Siobhan got us singing proper melodies together. Very rewarding indeed."
The workshop lasts for two hours: meet at the Silk Museum on Park Lane (behind Wetherspoons).
If you're feeling confident enough at the end of this session, you can come to the Silk Museum next door and sing a song or two to our visitors - but that's up to you!
[NB at the moment, we have no lift and so disabled access is not possible. There are 49 steps up to the mill, but they are not challenging and we'll give you a chance to get your breath back!]
