Three creative writing sessions engage and reimagine the Barber's permanent collection.
Join Birmingham based writer & poet Adrian B Earle to reimagine the Barber through 'ekphrastic' writing.
Explore words, the gallery and its stories on Wednesday afternoons. You will learn about the ekphrastic technique to vividly depict a scene in an artwork. You will take inspiration from the gallery walls using creative writing to reimagine the space, the art, and its narratives.
These workshops are for students and will take place at the Barber Institute of Fine Arts. They are designed to be attended together as a series and have limited spaces so booking is essential. No writing experience necessary, everything provided.
The three sessions are designed as a series, will take place in person, at the Barber Institute, on these dates:
Wednesday 17 November
Wednesday 24 November
Wednesday 1 December
