Museums and galleries across the UK are subject to temporary closures. Those that remain open have safety measures in place, please remember to check venue guidelines before visiting.

Join local photographer Kate Green for a guided photowalk around the Barber, connecting to ourselves, each other and the environment through photography.

To develop your understanding this full day workshop will include an introduction to camera settings, composition and practical exploration on how artists use composition when creating an image. These skills will be applied to portraiture and you’ll find out how you can work in different light conditions to improve your family and friend's photography!

This workshop will take place at the Barber Institute of Fine Arts and the surrounding campus. All camera types welcome, including camera phones, this workshop is open to beginners and confident photographers.

It has limited spaces so booking is essential. It is designed for those 18 and over, however those 16 -17 years of age may join the group if accompanied by a ticket-holding adult.

We encourage you to bring your own packed lunch on the day and to be prepared for spending time outdoors and in the gallery. This workshop involves walking around the building and campus. Please contact us in advance to discuss any access needs.
