Using traditional artist techniques, let your imagination wander into fantastical places and translate them onto paper.

This art workshop will guide you through creating a continuous abstract line drawing filled with colour and creativity.

Activity 1 : An abstract 'walk the line' artwork, coloured in using a variety of materials (pencils, paint, marker, crayons.)

Activity 2: A continuous line-drawn self portrait.

Activity 3: Another 'walk the line' drawing, but this time trying to incorporate shapes into it. It could be a landscape or somewhere in your imagination.

Jill Carpin is an illustrator, designer and animator based in Brighton. She has a passion for bright colours and bold shapes and takes inspiration from her childhood home of The Seychelles, using it to create her tropical nature inspired designs.

This workshop is suitable for ages 7+. All children should be accompanied by an adult.
