Join Dr Sumita Mukherjee for a talk on Indian suffragettes.

Indian women were involved in campaigns for the vote in both Britain and India across the early-20th century. This talk will highlight the role of Indian suffrage campaigners in Britain, including the leading role of Norfolk's Princess Sophia Duleep Singh, and show how they were part of a worldwide movement.

This talk will be given by Dr Sumita Mukherjee, historian and author of Indian Suffragettes: Female Identities and Transnational Networks.
