Tune in for an online broadcast of Freya Dooley’s new audio commission for Jerwood Solo Presentations 2021, 'Temporary Commons', available to stream for 24 hours.
Freya Dooley works across media encompassing writing, moving image, performance and sound. Her work builds layered and precarious narratives that bring together a range of subject matter, often starting with simple observation of our immediate environment.
Freya lives and works in Cardiff. She graduated with a BA (Hons) Fine Art from Cardiff School of Art and Design in 2011 and was a member of Syllabus III, a UK-based peer-led alternative learning programme in 2017-18. Dooley currently holds a two-year Fellowship at g39, Cardiff which is supported by the Freelands Artist Programme. In 2020 she undertook a residency with Beppu Project in Japan supported by Wales Arts International.
The event will be 40 minutes long and available to stream with English language captions on Vimeo or on Souncloud at 5pm, Friday 25 June-5pm Saturday 26 June.
