Join spoken-word artist and poet, Jasmine Gardosi for an experimental and collaborative poetry writing workshop.

Meet other like-minded students in this relaxed session as Jasmine leads us on an exploration of the expanded field of portraiture, responding to the Barber's painting The Blue Bower (1865), by Dante Gabriel Rossetti. We will collectively explore symbolism and the hidden message as we read poetry by contemporary Birmingham writers and create our own abstract penned portrait poems.

This workshop is free and for all levels and abilities - absolutely no prior poetry or creative writing experience needed. There will be writing exercises to get the creative juices flowing. We look forward to bringing our collection to your place!

This event is tailored for student participants (18+) and hosted over Zoom. You will receive joining details after booking.
