In response to John Newling’s exhibition, this creative writing workshop is inspired by local nature and explores the connections between writing, storytelling and the natural world.
You don’t need to be a wildlife expert, nor do you need to have written seriously before. All you need is enthusiasm for the natural world and a willingness to explore a range of ways to bring the wilds of Ditchling alive on the page. Bring a pen, notebook and some walking boots. Workshop includes an introduction to nature writing, a short walk, writing exercises and the opportunity to share and feedback.
