On Tuesday 17 March, join ceramics artist Ali Hewson for an artist’s introduction to Deepening at Norwich Castle, exploring the exceptionally well-preserved Bronze Age finds at Must Farm and Laura Wilson’s responsive film piece, Deepening (2019).
The group will then split into two, for ceramics workshops at Ali’s studio in central Norwich on Wednesday 25 and Thursday 26 March, during which you will be able to create your own ceramic pot or vessel and develop your skills in hand building with clay. Your work will be fired and made available for you to collect at a later date.
In order to participate in this free workshop, you must be available on Tuesday 17 March (5.30 – 6.30pm) and either the 25 or 26 March from 6.30 – 9pm).
This workshop is suitable for adults aged 21 and older, and has been made possible thanks to funding from the East Contemporary Visual Arts Network and is delivered as part of the New Geographies project. Please do not book if you are unable to make the introduction on Tuesday 17 March.
