This informal workshop will provide enjoyable and productive writing exercises to stimulate your imagination.

Whether you want to write fiction or non-fiction, we will look at the elements that make a good story, and how to transform ideas into words.

Every story happens somewhere. It might be in a gritty urban environment, or an idyllic rural location, beside the sea or high in the mountains. As a writer you may visualize it perfectly in your head, but how do you let your reader ‘see’ it too? Whether you’re writing historical fiction, contemporary drama or a memoir, this workshop will help you to ‘show’ not ‘tell’ and provide depth and colour to your writing.

All levels are welcome.
