This event has now passed, find out what else is going on at Perth Museum and Art Gallery

In his talk on the work of John Bellany, Alexander Moffat looks back at Bellany’s formative years in Port Seton and Eyemouth and his subsequent struggles with what might be termed ‘Coastal Calvinism’.

All through his life, Bellany never gave up on the people of Port Seton, returning again and again. It was that close proximity, that sense of the local, which kept the universal attached and in touch with us.
