For Art Assembly one-day festival, Synergy Theatre Project present two performances of their play To my younger self. Each performance will be followed by a Q&A with artistic director, cast and crew.
To my younger self examines the issue of knife crime and features a cast and crew of professional actors and artists with lived experience of the criminal justice system. Written by Natalie Mitchell (Ackley Bridge, Eastenders), it explores the decisions young people have to confront after a stabbing, whether they are a victim, friend, witness or observer.
The play comes to Walthamstow as part of Art Assembly, a one-day festival exploring how art can make a difference on Saturday 23 November, brought to the public by Art Fund and Waltham Forest London Borough of Culture 2019.
Two performances will take place in the Norris Hall, Walthamstow School for Girls at 12.30 and 3.30pm on Saturday 23 November 2019.
Synergy Theatre Project works with prisoners, ex-prisoners and young people at risk of offending. The play and post-show discussion are touring schools and colleges across London in November.
