Pitzhanger Manor was the country retreat of architect John Soane, who radically rebuilt the existing building between 1800 and 1804. A three-year restoration project recently returned much of the building to Soaneā€™s design, created for his eclectic collection of art and antiquities, as well as to host parties. Following a guided tour of the manor, there is time to view the temporary exhibition of works by the artist and stage designer Es Devlin, who has worked on stage designs for pop concerts, theatrical productions and exhibitions.
