How can we bring new medicines to patients as quickly as possible?
How can we ensure we are asking and answering the right questions?
How can we design clinical trials efficiently?
(One of) the answers is statistics!
This talk will describe how novel statistical methods can be used to develop medicines, and help to make decisions (about the efficacy and safety of drugs) as efficiently as possible. We'll walk through the drug development process and intuitively explore some of the ways statistics is being used to answer these questions.
