The privately owned costume collection houses more than one million items and eight miles of hanging costume in its purpose-built facility in Hendon. This private tour explores the various departments – including tailoring, ladies’ making, alterations, uniform, and warehouse – and is accompanied by firsthand accounts of working on productions such as Shakespeare in Love, Downton Abbey, Wicked and Game of Thrones. Costumes on display include those worn by Fred Astaire, Benedict Cumberbatch, Judi Dench, Johnny Depp, and many more.
This is a full 2 hour walking tour with no break so please wear sensible walking shoes. Wheelchair users are welcome but information needs to be provided in advance.
