Since its founding in 1831 by a group of literary gentlemen, the Garrick Club, named after the 18th-century actor David Garrick, has attracted many noted writers, musicians, peers of the realm, publishers and actors. The club’s large and varied art collection, which includes more than 1,000 paintings, drawings and sculptures, representing the history of the theatre, as well as prints, photographs and theatrical memorabilia, has been built up since the club’s inception through gifts, bequests and, latterly, commissions. This tour encompasses the main rooms of the club.

Please note that there are two short flights of steps to the ground floor from the street and a small lift to all floors.

This event has been organised by the London Fundraising Committee Volunteer Fundraising Committee to help raise money for the Art Fund.
