Visit to Henbury Hall and gardens
On 25 June 2019
14:00 until 16:30
By kind permission of Mrs de Ferranti. A guided tour of the house and gardens at Henbury Hall with tea served in the Tenants Hall. Henbury Hall was commissioned by the late Sebastian de Ferranti, designed by Julian Bicknell and built in 1984-86.
Inspired by Andrea Palladio’s Villa Rotunda and its 18th-century English variants, Henbury is the most beautiful Classical country house to have been built in the British Isles since 1938. The 12 acre gardens include an Italianate garden created by our hostess, Mrs de Ferranti. This is an extremely rare opportunity to obtain access to the house at Henbury as well as the gardens, and will be a fitting finale to our Summer Programme.
This event has been organised by the Cheshire Fundraising Committee Volunteer Fundraising Committee to help raise money for the Art Fund.
