A lush oasis in the heart of London, the Chelsea Physic Garden was founded in 1673 by the Society of Apothecaries to promote the study of botany in relation to medicine, then known as ‘physic’. Today the Pharmaceutical Garden displays plants used in current medicinal practice, and the Garden of World Medicine is Britain’s first garden of ethnobotany (study of plant uses by people of diverse ethnic origin). A two-course set lunch under the awning of the new Physic Garden Café will follow a guided tour of this beautiful secret walled garden.

This event has been organised by the London Fundraising Committee Volunteer Fundraising Committee to help raise money for the Art Fund.
