Brompton Cemetery, which opened in 1840 and covers more than 39 acres, is one of the so-called Magnificent Seven Cemeteries of London. It is listed Grade I in the English Heritage Register of Parks and contains one of the country’s finest architectural funerary complexes. This tour covers the cemetery’s history and architecture, and visits some of its famous inhabitants, including suffragist Emmeline Pankhurst; artists’ muse and fashion icon Luisa Casati; and the Edwardian artist, Eleanor Fortescue-Brickdale, known as ‘the last Pre-Raphaelite’.

This event has been organised by the London Fundraising Committee Volunteer Fundraising Committee to help raise money for the Art Fund.
