To commemorate the 200th anniversary of John Ruskin’s birth, York Art Gallery is holding an exhibition to trace the influence of Turner’s vision on Ruskin’s work. The exhibition will include a dozen works by Turner and more than 40 by Ruskin as well as work of their contemporaries, many on loan from national and regional collections.

There will be an introductory talk by the co-curator Suzanne Fagence-Cooper followed by a tour of the exhibition.

This event has been organised by the York & East Yorkshire Fundraising Committee Volunteer Fundraising Committee to help raise money for the Art Fund.
