This tour, led by Blue Badge guide Sean Moran, incorporates three of the six London churches built by architect Nicholas Hawksmoor in the 18th century: St George’s Bloomsbury, St Mary Woolnoth and Christ Church Spitalfields. Comparing and contrasting the different architectural styles Hawksmoor employed, Moran looks at why the churches were built and shares anecdotes from their respective histories, including which one was used as a London Underground ticketing hall.

Please note: There is no step free access at Holborn or Bank Underground Stations which we will be using en route so you will need to be able to use an escalator. There are a small number of steps to access all the churches.

This event has been organised by the London Fundraising Committee Volunteer Fundraising Committee to help raise money for the Art Fund.
