Bowhill Miniatures and Archive
On 10 May 2019
10:30 until 16:00
A wonderful opportunity to spend the day at Bowhill House, home of the Duke and Duchess of Buccleuch, in the Scottish Borders. The day starts with coffee in the Tapestry Hall followed by an introduction by Dr Stephen Lloyd on the Buccleuch miniatures, the second largest collection after the Queen. After the talk attendees are given a chance to view the collection. There will then be lunch in the dining room surrounded by Canaletto, Gainsborough and Reynolds. After this attendees will be given details of the newly housed Archive by Crispin Powell, Archivist to the Duke.
This event has been organised by the Borders Fundraising Committee Volunteer Fundraising Committee to help raise money for the Art Fund.
