Not usually open to the public, the Gordon Museum houses the Joseph Towne wax model collection, for which he was awarded the silver medal from the Royal Society for Arts. Also on display is the 19th century Lam Qua collection of pre-operative tumour paintings and the largest UK collection of pathological specimens. The visit will include a lecture by the curator.

In the afternoon, there will be a visit to the Old Operating Theatre museum and Herb Garret. (Please note access is by a narrow spiral staircase).

There will be time between the two visits for attendees to make arrangements for lunch locally.

This event has been organised by the Kent Fundraising Committee Volunteer Fundraising Committee to help raise money for the Art Fund.
