At the Forefront of European Architecture?

Talk | Exeter Cathedral

Thursday 8 March 2018 - 10:00 until 16:00

The West of England has some of the finest and most innovative cathedral architecture in Europe.

This unique event brings together four leading speakers – John Allan, Jon Cannon, Jerry Sampson and Tim Tatton-Brown – to explore the development of the Decorated style of the early 14th century, when the region was at the forefront of European church architecture. They will focus on the cathedrals at Salisbury, Wells, Exeter and Bristol.

The event, at Exeter Cathedral, is intended for those with an interest in these cathedrals or in Gothic architecture in general.

This is a joint venture between Art Fund Devon Committee and the Friends of Exeter Cathedral. The full programme will be available on the Exeter Cathedral website and booking opens on October 1st.

The day is expected to prove very popular, so please note the booking and event dates in your diary.
