Jean Stokes Christmas talk

Talk | The Northumberland Club

Friday 24 November 2017 - 12:00 until 14:30

This talk offers a tantalising investigation into the work of numerous western artists over the centuries, from Giotto to Stanley Spencer, from Rembrandt to Matisse, to see how they have depicted the events at Bethlehem on that first Christmas night. How did they imagine the scene and how influential on their imagery were the events of their own time?

This event has been organised by the Northumberland Volunteer Fundraising Committee to help raise money for the Art Fund.
