Figures in a Landscape: the daring art of Tom Denny (Winter Lecture Series No. 2)

Lecture | McCrum Theatre

Wednesday 22 November 2017 - 18:30 until 20:00

Speaker: Adrian Barlow, former Director of Public and Professional Programmes at the University of Cambridge Institute of Continuing Education.

Tom Denny is arguably the leading stained glass artist working in England today, and his windows appear in cathedrals and churches across Britain. This lecture looks at the evolution of his style over a span of thirty years, and asks whether his art belongs within a tradition of post-war European stained glass or whether it should be seen within a different and more radical context.

This event has been organised by the Cambridgeshire Volunteer Fundraising Committee to help raise money for the Art Fund.
