“Fakes and Forgeries"

Talk | Bonhams

Tuesday 21 November 2017 - 11:00 until 12:45

The illustrated lecture will be given by Malcolm Kenwood, former specialist police detective investigating art and antique crime and Recoveries Director for the international Art Loss Register. His talk on Fakes and Forgeries in the art world will reveal actual case studies, demonstrating the lengths forgers will go to in passing off works as legitimate. Skilled forgers capable of imitating well known artists have provided the ability to dupe many at the highest level within the art market.

This event has been organised by the Oxfordshire Volunteer Fundraising Committee to help raise money for the Art Fund.
