Nether Winchendon House

Private View | Nether Winchendon House

Tuesday 31 October 2017 - 10:30 until 12:30

Nether Winchendon House, a romantic Grade 1 listed house built on the foundations of an Augustinian priory is surrounded by acres of parkland and gardens in rural Buckinghamshire. Robert Spencer-Bernard, whose family have lived here since the 16th century, will take the group on a private tour of his fascinating home which has grown organically over the centuries and boasts Mediaeval, Tudor and Strawberry Hill Gothic architecture. Robert’s account of the history of the house and its occupants will be illustrated by the magnificent portraits, tapestries and objects on view. Winchendon House is particularly famed for its interiors.
