Kaleidoscope: British Art in the 1960s
Private View | Mead Gallery
Thursday 26 October 2017 - 10:30 until 12:30
Noted for its bold, artificial colour, underpinned by a strong sense of order and symmetry, the art of the 1960s is brought together at the Mead Gallery, including outstanding examples of painting and sculpture from the Arts Council Collection. Curator, Fiona Venables will help us examine 1960s' visual art with a fresh lens, exploring colour and form, rationality and irrationality, order and waywardness. The show represents the work of over twenty artists including: Anthony Caro, Robyn Denny, Tess Jaray, Kim Lim, Mary Martin, Eduardo Paolozzi, Bridget Riley, Richard Smith, William Tucker and William Turnbull.
This event has been organised by the Warwickshire Volunteer Fundraising Committee to help raise money for the Art Fund.
