Talk and Tour | Royal Courts of Justice

The Royal Courts of Justice house both the High Court and Court of Appeal of England and Wales. Barring the Supreme Court, this is home to the most senior judiciary in the country. Highlights of the tour will include the Great Hall, viewing of original court documents from 1605 relating to Guy Fawkes, history of the fabulous art and some of the celebrated cases.

Also, a fascinating stroll with Alexandra Epps, City of London Guide, exploring the magical qualities of stained glass windows within some of the historic chapels of the Inns of Court and nearby churches. Experience the symbolism, spiritual dimension and above all radiant visual beauty of these windows, created by remarkable craftsmen, from the 17th century onwards.

A break for lunch will be at approxamaily 1pm-2pm. Lunch is not included.

This event has been organised by the Essex Volunteer Fundraising Committee to help raise money for the Art Fund.
