Lecture: A glimpse into the world of an Old Masters specialist by Andrew McKenzie

An expert's opinion of the skills involved in valuing paintings and the factors which determines a painting's value, as well as a wealth of stories of the exciting discoveries Andrew has made in the course of his career as a UK Director of Bonhams.

His successes include the sales of George Stubbs's Dark Bay Thoroughbred for £1.9 million, of Velasquez's newly discovered Portrait of a Gentleman for £3 million, and of Fragonard's Portrait of Francois-Henri, 5th duc d'Harcourt at a world record of £17.1 million for a French Old Master.

This event has been organised by the Cheshire Volunteer Fundraising Committee to help raise money for the Art Fund.
